Edith Penrose, former homesteader of Gakona, AK and resident of Anchorage, AK died November 25th, 2012 at the age of eighty-eight. No memorial will be held at Edith’s request. Her final resting place is in Glennallen, AK. She is survived by 4 children, Susan, John, Laurel and Carol, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
